Alicia Witt, a singer and songwriter as well as pianist is well-known for her work as an actor. But, she's played music from the moment she began appearing in films. After working mainly as piano player, she came out with an eponymous EP in 2009 that showcased her clear debt to the likes of Elton John and Billy Joel as well as a confident vocal range to go with it. Revisionary History was her first studio album. It was produced by Ben Folds. The Conduit, her debut album with co-producers in 2021 is followed in 2021 by the album Revisionary History. Alicia Witt first appeared onscreen in 1984 when she played Alia Atreides as part of David Lynch's film adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune. It's no surprise that being only ten years old it was assumed that she was being an actress, despite the fact she'd played piano for since she was a teenager. Though she appeared more on screen than she was on stage, her professional career as a musician did not begin until 1995.
